The list below provides links to details on some of the main features of ArtCAM Pro. This list is not a complete list of all the functionality - it just highlights some of the more interesting features. Using Bitmaps Using bitmaps
The design process starts with 2 dimensional artwork as either vector based eps, dxf, ai or bitmap based bmp, tif, pcx, jpg. The easy-to-use modeling tools allow you to use color to define 3D form and convert your 2D designs into beautiful 3D products.
Using Vectors Using vectors
Vectors play an important part in ArtCAM Pro. They can be used to generate bitmap shapes, control machining paths, or as profiles and cross-sections for creating 3D shapes directly.
Using Clipart 3D clipart library
Featuring 500 3D relief files the library allows you to incorporate commonly used 3D features into a design. To increase the library, simply add your own 3D reliefs as you go along. All 3D clipart can be dynamically positioned, scaled, rotated, stretched, added, subtracted or merged with your new 3D model.
3D Models 3D models
Import 3D models from other modeling packages directly into ArtCAM Pro. These models can be used as part of new designs or even as textures.
3D Ring Design 3D ring design
ArtCAM Pro lets you see your wrapped rings being created in 3D. The conventional modeling tools can be used to build ring bases onto which complex reliefs and textures etc. can quickly and easily be added. The complete design can be color shaded and assessed at any time. Rotary 4 axis toolpaths can be calculated or the model can be saved as a 3D STL mesh for Rapid Prototyping using an optional module.
3D Celtic weave design 3D complex weaves
Create complex weave effects in minutes using the Celtic Weave feature. This extrudes a user definable cross-section along vector profiles, automatically detecting crossings and lowering / raising the cross-section to produce the 'over - under' effect found in Celtic weaves and designs.
3D Texturing Texturing
ArtCAM Pro offers you a set of versatile standard relief textures. And you can define special textures of your own.
Interactive Sculpting Interactive sculpting
Modify your 3D designs interactively, in real-time, with the model color shaded. The sculpting tools allow regions to be blended to give a 'hand-crafted' look and feel.
Using greyscale images Using greyscale images
ArtCAM Pro can automatically create a 3D shape from imported images.
Iso-From Lettering Iso-form lettering
The ability to produce constant-height 3D lettering. With ArtCAM you are able to recreate a hand-carved look with a CNC machine.

Toolpath generation with powerful features for roughing, finishing, feature machining and engraving.
Precision Machining Precision machining
Engraving artwork and text is easy with ArtCAM Pro. But being easy doesn’t mean you lose power. ArtCAM's powerful 2D and 3D engraving strategies let you decide how you want to machine your designs.
Colour Shading Color rendering
ArtCAM has a unique method for shading your 3D designs with multiple colors and light sources. This enables photo-realistic images to be saved and printed.
