Many times I have worked with customers early in the design or concept stages in order to improve and streamline production of their final product.  I have also had the benefit of qualifying materials, recommending and installing support tooling and equipment along with developing the final processes to produce these products.

As well as pursuing the vision of what your business could become, I believe success lies in realistically appreciating what your business inherently is. Innovation, creativity and flexibility are qualities that have enabled me to resourcefully create solutions and new processes--pioneering improved and efficient products.

Vision and imagination have been required in many of the products I have designed and created.  For example, in prior goggle design, the elastic strap is sewn onto a clip attached to the goggle frame.  Looking to forge relationships with local customers and proactively introduce overmolding as an aesthetic and functional benefit for products, I assisted in a new design that called for the strap to be molded into the goggle frame. This eliminated the clip as well as the labor to sew it on.  The new concept and prototype product was brought to my customer—just down the road—the next day. Enamored with the aesthetic appeal and durability of the new design, it has now become the product standard. When this feature was implemented on a new goggle used by the coalition forces in Iraq, it immediately captured the attention of Injection Molding Magazine who shortly thereafter interviewed for two articles on the entire process.

The majority of my eighteen year career has been focused on design, construction, and process development of plastic injection molds for the computer/electronic, aerospace, medical, and sporting goods industries with a special emphasis on complex, intricate and overmolded products.  In addition, I am also proficient at designing and manufacturing inspection and machining fixtures as well as prototype projects.
