Delcam is to release a new 'entry level' version of its ArtCAM Pro software
for 2D and 2.5D CNC Routing and Engraving - ArtCAM Insignia. Designed for the
professional user, ArtCAM Insignia includes comprehensive design and layout tools and
creates fast accurate and most importantly, reliable CNC toolpaths.
ArtCAM Insignia's extensive machining strategies include: Precision 3D engraving &
V-carving, 3D bevel carving for impressive raised lettering, integrated true
shape nesting for minimizing material wastage, automatic pocketing with multiple
tools for efficient machining cycles, cut-out passes with control for leads,
ramping, interactive bridging tabs and final pass 'onion-skin' thickness for
maximum vacuum suction, hole drilling and interactive toolpath sequencing to
ensure parts are cut in the order you want.
Machining time estimation and realistic 3D toolpath simulation let you verify
your jobs before sending them to the CNC machine. Postprocessors / drivers are
available for virtually all types of CNC machines.
ArtCAM Insignia takes bitmap and vector artwork and generates machining instructions
for all sizes of product, from small pieces of jewelry to furniture, signs and
woodcarvings. The software is extremely easy to use, with unique In-line help
that includes online video & audio tutorials to help you get the most from
the software.
Designs can be created using ArtCAM Insignia's comprehensive drawing and text creation
tools. Alternatively, they can be imported from other graphics packages (dxf,
eps, ai) or as bitmap images or scans (bmp, tif, gif, jpg). Once created,
designs can easily be edited, rotated or scaled within the software. Special
tools allow text to be placed along or around any shape of curve.
